FAQs

What is mild HBOT, and how does it differ from traditional HBOT?

Mild HBOT uses a chamber that delivers oxygen at a lower pressure (1.4 ATM) compared to traditional HBOT (up to 2.5+ ATM). While traditional HBOT is typically used for severe medical conditions like decompression sickness, mild HBOT focuses on wellness, general recovery, wound healing, and care after concussions.

What can mild HBOT help with?

Mild HBOT can support recovery from physical activity, reduce inflammation, enhance oxygen delivery, and promote overall wellness. It is also effective in treating traumatic brain injuries, promoting better wound healing, and recovery from long-COVID. While not a substitute for higher-pressure HBOT in treating certain medical conditions, it can be an excellent complement to your health routine.

What does a session feel like?

During a session, you’ll relax in a comfortable chamber while breathing pure oxygen through a nasal cannula, under mild pressure. Your ears may pop as if you are in an airplane. Many patients find the experience relaxing and report feeling refreshed afterward.

How long is a typical session?

The chamber takes about 18 minutes to reach pressure, and your session’s time starts only once we reach pressure. The average session is between 80 minutes and 110 minutes, depending on whether you want to stay in the chamber for an hour or 90 minutes. The rate is $100/hr at pressure. Depending on your goals, a series of sessions may be recommended.

Is mild HBOT safe?

Yes, mild HBOT is considered very safe for most individuals. If you have any medical conditions, we’ll discuss whether it’s the right option for you before beginning treatment.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions depends on your individual health goals. Some patients benefit from occasional use for general wellness, while others may choose more frequent sessions for recovery or ongoing support.
